Shake, Rattle and Roll

The first step in a new adventure is the one that counts most. If you do not take it, stuck is where you stay. It is time to shake a leg, rattle the imaginary chains that hold you and roll on down the road.

 Where... when... how? There... now... go.

When you switch from a mind-driven life to a heart-centered one, the methods for living are somewhat different. Asking the same questions repeatedly just digs a deeper rut. It is by tuning in to your inner knowing that you can release the fear of the unknown and proceed forward.

Trust, in other words. Allowing your intuitive faculties a full rein. Create your exit plan, put it into motion and the rest will follow.

Doors close, doors open, in that order.

It is time.

 

Life by Sticky Note

How did you manage your life before the invention of sticky notes? Was your memory that much better... or did you just have fewer details to keep track of?

These days when you get an idea, you grab the yellow notes, jot down a few words, tear off the sheet and put it on to a pile with all your other sticky notes. There is not a bulletin board or computer monitor large enough to hold them all.

The sticky note on top gets noticed and the task thereon frequently accomplished. Those on the bottom seem to live there forever. And their presence is a constant reminder of more things "to do."

What if you were to remove all such nagging presences and live your life moment to moment, as it rolls along? You think of something; you do it. Or not. You begin a project and finish it. Or not. If the need is pressing, the idea will come to the surface of your awareness again. If it's simply busy work or a casual thought, who cares if it never reappears?

 "Sticky note" work is usually optional and unscheduled.... which is why much of it never gets completed. So why continue to clutter your desk with piles of yellow paper?

Let us use a different system instead. This method allows one sticky note that says "Bliss."

If a new project does not make you feel wonderful, then raise your vibration sufficiently to determine what will. The "awareness method" will guide you in a more natural way than a few dozen disjointed messages stuck in a pile on your desk. You will also have a clearer idea of what is important to your life and what is trivial.

In other words, save a few trees and use your inner guidance instead.

 

Pulling Your Selves Together

When you feel your Higher Self energy drawing nearer, how long are you able to keep that higher vibration permeating your physical energy field?

So far, you can only manage seconds at a time before some thought intrudes or an itch wants attention. Or words are ready to be typed onto the page. How do you hold the eternal part of you close when you are managing these mundane aspects of daily life?

Practice.

It is much easier to pull your physical and eternal selves together when you are in a meditative state and all is quiet and peaceful around you. It would help if you could do more of this every day. Even if you just take five minutes here and there for bliss time, you are learning to attune to the higher vibrating aspect of yourself.

The trick is blending the physical and eternal energies for longer and longer periods so you always remain in the blissful state that, so far, you have only experienced for brief moments.

Living a fragmented life makes things more difficult for you than they need to be. Seeing through eternal eyes clarifies so much about what is possible for you.

If you need to put up sticky note reminders with the word BLISS in capital letters, do that. The separation from your sacred self was unintended... but it has gone on far too long. Let us remedy this now and get on to the really good parts of your life.

It's All So Simple, Really

 

Humans tend to overthink everything. What is truly important in your earthly life is that you see through the eyes of the Infinite, feel at one with all of life and know that love is the only law you need.

All else is decoration. Or ego trips.

Shed the adornments and reveal the truth within. Give yourself a life review from the perspective of eternity, the only viewpoint that matters.

You might like what you find... or not. But it will be an honest foundation on which to live your life.

Keep whittling.

 

 

Coincidences... or Divine Intervention?

When a number of good things unexpectedly happen within a short period of time, you often say that the Universe is "conspiring in your favor."

What about the situations that seem like delays, roadblocks or crises? Do you think that you attracted these events... or could they possibly have been Divine timing devices?

When you get bogged down in the activities of the mundane, the celestial energy around you is not so apparent. Your Higher Self feels like a dim concept and it is easy to forget your immortality and Divine nature.

It is also easy to forget that you have friends and kindred spirits in the unseen dimensions that surround you. Is it not likely that they are helping you through troubled times... and cheering your advances past the setbacks you have inadvertently created because of fear or timidity?

The next time you feel a tickle on your cheek or the hair raising on your arm, focus your awareness on the location of this sensation. If the energy feels loving, your "friends in high places" are getting in touch and your attention is being requested.

If you ignore - or do not notice - their visits, how do they get their messages across so that you have the benefit of their broader seeing and knowing?

The next time you experience a flurry of unexplainable or unanticipated events, consider that your Higher Self is on the job and tweaking things in the direction of your highest good. "Doors closing" is a good example of this. "Found money" is another.

You set the rules for your life before you entered the birth canal for this latest trip to planet Earth. Your Higher Self remembers, even if you do not. Be thankful that you have this eternal aspect of yourself to guide your path, even when the light seems too dim to see.

On the other hand, if you get a little closer to the Divine aspect of your being, you will see what your Eternal Self sees. Doesn't that sound like an easier way of doing things than sidestepping roadblocks and blindly lurching from one closed door to another? Part of you is pure Light.

Why is it so difficult to acknowledge this and allow it in?

 

The Art and Craft of Writing

Bless the school teachers of your youth for giving you the tools to construct a proper sentence. Give thanks for the multitude of spelling drills that never let you down many decades later. Pay homage to the great writers who perfected the art of writing... as well as the craft.

You can show your respect by not cutting corners in your own writing and by continuing to push the boundaries of your creativity. 

Be at one with the idea that pushes your pen across the page... that makes your fingers dance along the keyboard of your writing machine. Immerse yourself in the rhythm of the words, in the beauty of the picture that you bring to life.

Let this act of writing carry you far above the mundane into uncharted worlds of ideas and dreams. The readers who are meant to follow this path of letters, words and concepts will fly along with you and sometimes ahead of you as you unshackle the chains of conventional thinking.

In your mind, you have always been a fringe dweller. How far out of the sandbox are you willing to take yourself... and these words of yours?

What Life Wants in the Summer of 2012

Life wants words to mean something. Life wants respect for everything that is part of Life. Life wants the perspective of eternity incorporated into all thoughts and actions.

This is your focus now, as a writer, as a person, as an eternal being.

Shed extraneous "stuff" as you would excess pounds. Be "for" rather than "against." Instead of trying to get rid of the ants in your kitchen, try to understand their needs and see how you can help. Find a resolution that serves all.

Understand that you are one small part in the big picture of Life. Life does not revolve around you, but also remember that your contribution to the whole is essential. What is your highest and best gift to the expansion of Life?

Some people excel at growing vegetables. Or making things with their hands. Or teaching young children. Or healing with herbs.  Or nourishing their families with life-giving foods. They contribute to Life through their own special talents.

Your gift is to plant idea gardens and feed people with words.

The right words can heal a bruised heart. An idea dropped like a seed into someone's mind can grow into a new outlook on life. Or a new way of life.

When you get bogged down in day-to-day trivia and cannot see a clear path forward, sit down and start writing. Writing is both your inspiration and your talent. It feeds you and nourishes others.

Your garden of ideas needs to be tended if the fruits of your labors are to take root and flourish. Your watering can contains the perspective of eternity. Sprinkle this concept into all of your writing.

All of it. And watch your garden grow.

 

Life Gets What Life Wants

Life with a capital "L" is bigger than any one person. Life is greater than all the people that exist at any given time. Life is the energy soup in which every sentient being grows to fruition... animal, vegetable and mineral.

You add to Life when you fulfill your dreams and passions. You diminish Life when you give up too soon. Life does not care to lose its vitality this way.

So Life will try to steer you toward what will ultimately make you stronger and, therefore, increase the flow of Life force. When you falter, Life brings you encouragement, in the form of books, people, or activities. When you step up to the plate and hit a home run, Life rewards your efforts with open doors and new adventures.

But it is up to you to walk through those doors. If you hesitate, Life will give you a boost... or a kick in the pants. Life will not make up your mind for you or take your first step, but know this: Life has a vested interest in what you choose to do. Life wants to grow and thrive. Life wants you to thrive and prosper.

As you expand your awareness, you will be more naturally in tune with what Life wants. As you gain courage and resolve, your path in Life will become clearer to you.

Visions and dreams serve a purpose. They are glimpses into your personal method for expanding Life force. Your own life flourishes when you go for this gold ring. But you have to make the effort to attain it.

You are so close... and Life is waiting to see what you will do.

Creativity Flows

All it takes is one little idea to prime the creative pump... and then off you go into another world while the current passion plays itself out.

And then what? Are the ideas for creation endless? Well... yes.

Lately, the outlet for your projects has been a platform called Squidoo, where you write articles on a variety of interests and place them into the public eye for free. And you enjoy it immensely.

Now that you have unleashed your writing muse, your path in life is taking a new turn. When you would rather write than sleep, you know you are on to something.

Will your writing make a difference in people's lives? That depends on how much of themselves people see in your stories. And on whether the information you present is what they are needing to hear at any given moment.

Sometimes you write for fun - for your own amusement and for the sheer joy of playing with words and thoughts. Other times you provoke strong feelings and deep thinking in your readers by exposing your own beliefs about something that moved you deeply.

Do not be afraid of making people think. Constructive ideas will be needed during the destructive times ahead. Stir the pot, reveal  the truth.

Write, write, write.

 

A Timely Reminder

The tropical storm heading in your direction is reminding you that your next move will be to the mountains... or foothills at the least. Living close to sea level in a hurricane zone is not nearly as desirable today as when you were younger and felt indestructible.

This may be just the motivation you need to speed up your departure and begin the adventure that marks the next stage of your earthly life. In other words, the fear of remaining in place may now outweigh the trepidations of launching yourself into unknown territory.

You have noticed doors closing, as if you were being herded in a specific direction away from your current situation. When your mind accepts the inevitable and begins to appreciate the new opportunities about to open up for you, then you will see more clearly your next steps and take the actions necessary to move you forward.

In the meantime, your inner knowing will have to be enough to go on. Trust that your eternal self sees the bigger picture and is guiding you for your highest good.

Trust... and pack a little faster.
